This week's guests are Dr. Karen Knudsen and Brande Plotnick. Karen E. Knudsen, MBA, PhD, is the chief executive officer of the American Cancer Society (ACS) and its advocacy affiliate, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action NetworkSM (ACS CAN). As a well-respected cancer leader, researcher, and advocate, Dr. Knudsen guides the organization on it's mission to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. She has a strong commitment to ensuring that all people can benefit from the impact of the work of the American Cancer Society. Brande Plotnick is a breast cancer survivor and Crossfitter who was diagnosed with cancer during Covid-19. Brande used a healthy lifestyle to not only “train” for her surgery but also to speed her recovery.
